The Birmingham Cathedral is an excellent English Baroque parish church designed by Thomas Archer. Concluded in 1725, it is one of the most beautiful historic buildings in Birmingham. The magnificently restored churchyard has a perimeter of cast-iron railings, with a double row of plane tress.
The Birmingham Cathedral Choir sings at 4 or 5 services each week. The Choir regularly receives invitations to perform with other top-rank choirs, such as the Choir of King’s College Cambridge and St Paul’s Cathedral. The Choir comprises 3 sections: men, boys and girls. They perform both separately and in various combinations.
The Birmingham Cathedral offers also a charge of weddings. It offers wedding preparation in which there are discussed details of the service, blessings of weddings and services of renewal of marriage vows.
